CrossFit is a training program that delivers life changing results to people of all ages, and experience levels.
At CrossFit Border we run group classes catering for the needs of people of all shapes and sizes. The combination of constantly varied, functional movements (or movements the mimic what you do and need for day to day life) at an intensity relative to your fitness level. Using a combination of weightlifting, gymnastics and mono structural activities such as running, rowing and skipping the variety will literally never allow you to plateau.
We program a new workout everyday, the WOD (workout of the day) is designed to create a neuro-endocrine response that will give massive results. The workouts are designed to be challenging, they are designed to push you, and yes they are scalable. We give the same workout to people in their early twenties as we do to those in their sixties, we only scale the load and intensity.

Unlike other fitness programs we don’t target one specific area of fitness. Instead we train to develop the ten recognised physical skills: cardio-respiratory endurance, strength, flexibility, speed, stamina, power, agility, co-ordination, balance and accuracy.
Ask yourself who is fitter, the marathon runner or weightlifter? Neither, both are masters of their sport and excel in either endurance or power, but not both. In CrossFit we train so we can improve general fitness, so you will be able to lift more weight, run further, jump higher and look better in the process.
The Box
CrossFit Border isn’t like other gyms, you won’t find rows of treadmills, distracting TV’s or mirrors. Instead you will find barbells, kettle bells, ropes, pull up bars, sleds, rowers, rollers and plenty of open space to move.
At the end of the day exercise is about moving around, NOT sitting down and watching the TV.
Every class has a qualified coach looking over everything you do. Our semi private classes provide an amazing CrossFit experience whilst encouraging a supportive community that will help you out when you need it the most.
Is it for me?
CrossFit is for anyone, but it’s not for everyone. We take some time to get to know you, and help you decide if the program is for you or not.
This is what makes CrossFit Border so much different to other gyms in Tweed Heads. We don’t sell you into any package and hope you never turn up, instead we choose an option that suits your busy lifestyle and needs. We work with you to make sure you turn up when you should be and ultimately get the results when YOU want them…

CrossFit is challenging, and most of all it’s a lot of fun. Whilst improving your fitness you will also meet people just like you. The community is strong and everyone works together to push each other along. Don’t be surprised if you find people cheering you on to finish a workout.
